The former director of operations for New York's Department of Corrections, James A. Ferro, has been arranged on charges including coercion, official misconduct, forcible touching and harassment.
The charges grew from a larger inquiry into the Department of Correction's mismanagement, corruption and, what New York does best-- cover-ups !
Ferro was part of the unit charged with investigating alleged inmate abuse throughout New York's vast 40,000-employee correctional system. MORE.....
The charges against Ferro also include "retaliation against [a] subordinate....by altering the employee's work schedule and prohibiting the employee from earning overtime."
