Police Officer Arrested for Deprivation of Civil Rights

Wifredo A. Ferrer, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida; Michael B. Steinbach, Acting Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Miami Field Office; and J.D. Patterson, Acting Director, Miami-Dade Police Department, announce today the arrest of Prabhainjana Dwivedi, a police officer with the Miami-Dade Police Department, on deprivation of civil rights violations.
More specifically, Officer Dwivedi is charged in a criminal complaint with deprivation of civil rights in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 242. According to the affidavit filed in support of the criminal complaint, Officer Dwivedi, while acting as a police officer with the Miami-Dade Police Department, stopped and/or detained a number of individuals without lawful authority, thereby depriving those individuals of their civil rights, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 242.
Officer Dwivedi was released on a $150,000 personal surety bond.
Report regarding counsel is scheduled for September 7, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., and arraignment is scheduled for September 19, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. If convicted, Officer Dwivedi faces a statutory maximum of one year for each violation of 18 U.S.C. § 242.
Mr. Ferrer commended the investigative efforts of the FBI and MDPD. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Karen Gilbert.
A complaint is only an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Suffolk County Police do this all the time as part of Racketeering that that works hand in hand with judges, lawyers dist.attorney. TAhe entire county is made up of dirty bastards pretending to law enforcement.
