A 53-year-old former upstate New York police sergeant, Patrick Rosney, has pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted dissemination of indecent material to a minor.
Rosney believed he was interacting with a 14-year-old girl, and is expected to receive 5 years probation and a $5,000.00 fine. He is expected to keep his police pension, after having been on the police force for 26 years.
